Urban Punk Vibes: Edgy London Photoshoot at Barbican Centre

Hey everyone,

Guess what? I've finally created one of my dream photoshoots in the heart of London’s Barbican – the city’s coolest concrete location (was I the last one to do a shoot there ahah?) For the longest time, I had this location in my mind, visiting it several times, scouting the backdrops, but it was missing a few key ingredients: the perfect model and a killer concept. And then, when the time was right, I met Talia.

I'm definitely not a styling expert, but I did a research and took the challenge of bringing my idea into life. Picture this: leather jacket, animal prints, chunky heels, smoky eyes, and a touch of 90s sleekness. Yasss! Talia totally rocked this look, and together I think we created pure magic against Barbican's moody backdrop.

The day of the photoshoot was pure excitement and creativity. Talia’s delivery of the character we came up with was precisely how I saw it in my mind's eye, and Barbican’s cool vibe was the ideal playground for our concept. We put music on to relax and create the necessary atmosphere - the artist of choice for this shoot was PVRIS - a perfect match! The photos turned out even better than I imagined – oozing punk, grungy spirit and a pinch of vulnerability.

Looking back, it wasn’t just a photoshoot; it was an amazing learning experience for me, playing with portable lights, styling, making the strong wind work for us. My idea of an alternative fashion photoshoot was now brought into life and, honestly, I can't wait for the next time!

And of course, can't do a shoot without a cinematic video!
